Sea-Watch e.V. is a non-profit initiative dedicated to the civilian rescue of refugees at sea. In view of the humanitarian catastrophe in the central Mediterranean Sea, Sea-Watch provides emergency aid, at the same time demands and pushes for rescue by the responsible European institutions and publicly stands up for legal escape routes. We are politically and religiously independent and are financed exclusively by donations.
For the Sea-Watch online shop we are looking for a Content Manager (f/m/d) with a weekly workload of 20 hours, preferably in Berlin or in a home office. The position is initially limited to 12 months with the possibility of an extension.
More than 115 different items are sold in the Sea-Watch online shop. The products range from T-shirts and hoodies to books or textiles specially made for us such as softshell jackets. We also cooperate with projects initiated by people with a history of flight and only sell textiles in organic (or recycled) and Fairtrade quality. In 2021, the Sea-Watch Shop was able to make more than 400,000 euros in profit. Currently, the Sea-Watch Shop is mainly organised on a voluntary basis.
As Content Manager you are responsible for the ongoing processes as well as the further development of the online shop. You will be supported by a mainly voluntary team of currently six people. Your tasks include looking after the online shop, but also initiating optimisation processes and implementing new product ideas. In addition, you will be responsible for evaluating old and new products, coordinating the volunteer team and communicating with external partners.
Are your interested?
Then we look forward to receiving your application and your answers to our question(s):
Which five products do you think are missing in our online shop and how do you justify your decision?
Please send your application documents with CV, letter of motivation and relevant certificates by 11th July 2022 at the latest in a pdf document to: application@sea-watch.org
Please refrain from sending a photo of your application and information on your marital status.
As we are committed to an inclusive society without discrimination or racism, we welcome all applications, regardless of gender, age, cultural and social background, religion, sexual orientation or disability.
Your face when .@paypal doesn't want to get involved with your plot to attack refugees and NGOs in the Mediterranean. #sosad pic.twitter.com/DKiWSeLynm
