starting 15.10.
starting 15.10.
Sea-Watch e.V. is a non-profit initiative dedicated to the civil sea rescue of people on the move. In view of the humanitarian disaster in the central Mediterranean Sea-Watch provides emergency aid, demands and at the same time forces the rescue by the responsible European institutions and publicly stands up for legal escape routes. We are politically and religiously independent and are financed exclusively by donations.
For our SEA-WATCH 5 we are looking for a Deck Rating (watchkeeping) to join our mission, starting ~15.10.
The Deck Rating (watchkeeping) will take responsibility for many different aspects of operating Sea-Watch 5. You will work closely with the bosun and support them with maintenance work, ships cleaning and mooring operations. Additionally you will instruct other crewmembers on deck according to Sea-Watch principles and guidelines, promoting a safe and healthy work place where all people feel welcome. With your nautical experience you make sure that everything runs smooth and safe both during standard ship- as well as rescue operations. After rescues your duties will include care for survivors and crowd management as directed by the bosun and guest care coordinator.
We look forward to receiving your application until 21.07.2024!
Please send your application with letter of motivation (especially why you want to work for Sea-Watch instead of a regular shipping company) and a CV (listening all your relevant STCW certificates including their validity) without photo to: crewing@sea-watch.org
Applications please in ONE pdf-document not larger than 5MB.
